Hands Across the Water runs seven homes and projects throughout Thailand supporting over 350 Thai children and their communities. While our origins date back to the Boxing Day Tsunami in 2004, the need to support children who haven't been dealt the best cards in life is very much still there. We are committed for the long term and that means that all children in our care will live a life of choice rather than one of chance.
This was the first Hands home built for 32 children who had lost their parents and were living in a tent in Phang-Nga, following the Boxing Day Tsunami. Today, Baan Tharn Namchai is home to more than 80 children. Read more
After learning about Home Hug in March 2010, Hands started to provide food and medicine to Home Hug. Not one child has died at Home Hug since Hands became involved in 2010. Read more
Pama House is a home based in the south east of Thailand that was opened in March 2015. It is 100% owned and operated by Hands Across the Water. Read more

Baan Nam Khem provides a nursery and childcare for over 50 Baan Tharn Namchai and community children. The centre doubles as a tsunami refuge giving local villagers a place to go and to feel safe in the event of a future tsunami. Read more
