Business Blueprint Ride 2021

About the ride

In 2013 Dale Beaumont joined us on our 800km through the south of Thailand. Dale had a light bulb moment on that ride that this would be a great way to bring small business owners and entrepreneurs from Business Blueprint together to achieve something pretty extraordinary as one community. In 2014 the Business Blueprint Ride was born.

Fast forward to 2019 and this passionate and committed community have raised $1.7million for Hands and have seen over 300+ riders take on the challenge of cycling 500km. It hasn’t come without its challenges but this is a team that will never give up!

In 2021 the Business Blueprint ride will be heading to the breathtaking Isaan Region in the north east of Thailand. Starting in the city of Bueng Karn, our riders will spend two days following the incredibly bio-diverse Mekong River before heading west through villages and rural communities not often visited by foreigners. Following a well-deserved rest day, the team will ride into one of our homes, Home Hug in Yasothon to be greeted excitedly by the children they have worked so hard to support.

Inclusions

 

7 Nights Twin Share Accommodation

9th – 15th October inclusive

Hotels will be modest in their offering and often in remote areas. WiFi is not always available however majority of the hotels do have WiFi services.

  

Hybrid Bike

You will be riding a hybrid bike which is a flat bar bicycle with tyres that are thinner than a mountain bike and thicker than a road bike. 

You will have options to bring your own seats, seat covers, pedals and cleats and we will provide more information about this closer to the event

  

Internal flights

Your domestic flight to Udon Thani (start of the ride) and back to Bangkok from Ubon Ratchathani will be organised by the Hands Team.

You will be responsible for arranging your own international flights.

  

Meals and Ground Transfers

All meals excluding lunch on the rest day are covered in your registration. Our cycling provider takes care of breakfast, lunch and dinner on the rides and provides plenty of sustenance throughout the day at the water stops. You definitely don’t go hungry on the ride!

Ground transfers between domestic flights are covered in your registration. You will be responsible for arranging your own airport transfer when you arrive into Thailand from Australia.

  

Custom Cycling Kit

Your registration includes a customised cycling jersey. You will have the opportunity to order matching knicks and additional kit if you choose. Alternatively you can bring your favourite pair of cycling knicks and they will suffice.

  

Travel Bag and Team Shirt

You will receive a Hands Across the Water travel bag for the trip. You will be required to use this bag on the trip for your main luggage. There is plenty of room in the bag for the tour and additional clothing you might want to bring for holidays pre or post the ride. You will also receive a Hands Across the Water team t-shirt.

  

Support crew and bike mechanics

We only work with the best and you will get to meet some of the nicest Thai people and support crew that you will have ever met. Nothing is too much trouble as long as you bring your manners. Our bike mechanics keep everything running tip top during your tour in Thailand.

  

Individual Fundraising Profile

Once you have registered and paid your $650 deposit, you will receive a link to your personal fundraising page. You can update this page with your story and share your unique link to start raising funds. The team at Hands are here to support you with ideas so don’t be afraid to ask for help.

  

Training Program

You will receive a training program that will help prep you for your 500km journey. The key to your training will be time in the saddle as opposed to km’s ridden so even if the weather turns poor, you can get to the local gym or spin class to clock up your hours on the bike.

  

Dedicated ride coordinator

We have a team of people to help you through your journey but importantly there is a dedicated ride coordinator who is there to answer any questions about the ride and arrange any additional activities you might need to organise for your experience. We’re here to help so just ask!

  

Ride Communications

We’ll send you a rider information pack upon registration to get you on your way. You will also receive regular rider newsletters and invitations to a closed Facebook group where you will be able to support other riders and ask questions in a safe community.

Cost and Payment Schedule

In addition to the tour costs you will need to arrange flights to and from Thailand.

To participate, you will need to raise AU$5,000. Don’t worry – we will help you find your fundraising feet. Don’t forget to check out our useful fundraising resources page.

Single supplement available upon request. Cost for single share is an additional $500. Please email [email protected] to make arrangements.

TOUR COST: AU$2,650

FUNDRAISING REQUIRED: AU$5,000

In acknowledging the uncertainty that currently exists in relation to international travel, if you sign up after 20th March 2020 for the Business Blueprint ride scheduled in 2020 and withdraw for ANY reason up to 2 months prior to the commencement of the ride, you will receive a 100% refund of the monies paid towards your ride costs.  If you withdraw inside the 2 month period normal refund conditions will apply as per the Terms and Conditions covering the ride.
